The circus has always been a special place for children to experience the talents of circus performers and thrills of the show. The circus has a magical air, my favorite part is watching the crowd faces looking in wonderment and amazement at the circus performers bend, fly, clown around and entertain.
Three years ago our family began our yearly tradition of going to the circus, the Big Apple Circus on Thanksgiving Day. The intimate circus is perfect for little ones, babies, toddlers and children of all ages. It’s not as overwhelming as other circus experiences can be for little ones or their parents! It’s just enough action and thrills for people of all ages.
The Big Apple Circus comes to New York City every fall this year the show runs at Lincoln Center, just a train ride away, from October 21 to January 10, 2016. The circus tent is intimate with just enough seats that will get you a good view of the ring at any prices range.
This year our kids delighted in the travel theme, with pretend airplane flights and train stops. The dog show and pony ride was a bonus for Selena, as she loves animals, the low-key animal show also seems more humane than many other shows out there. Although the gift favors were a bit out of reach for our humble pockets, the kids enjoyed the popcorn, which is their favorite food ever!
If you are thinking about the circus this season, there is no time to waste to catch the wonderful acts of the Big Apple Circus, our family highly recommends it!
